Stories Alive is the company name of Eden Ballantyne a Yorkshire based storyteller.
Eden became a storyteller, after years of acting and touring with a variety of diverse theatre companies.
Now as Stories Alive he works independently across Britain, as well as performing in Italy, China and Canada. In summer Stories Alive takes both family and grown up shows to Fringe Festivals, with sell out performances at Edinburgh, Edmonton and Durham Fringe. For the rest of the year if not touring a show to rural venues, stories are performed in museums and hertiage venues around the country. In December Eden splits his time between Storytelling Father Christmas and Alfie the Elf.
As a storyteller Eden has created bespoke stories for the National Trust, English Heritage, Bradford Literature Festival, events for Leeds, Bradford, Wakefield council, as well as small local events.
With a degree in Drama in the Community, Eden is nothing if not versatile. Other career highlights include outdoor shows, from Shakespeare in the park to contemporary street theatre, and popular comic entertainment with Thomas the Tank Engine at Butlins. With over 20 years performing experience performing and delivering workshops to people of all ages, he rarely regrets failing A level theatre studies.
